Friday Feature

Two posts in one week?  What is going on!  I'm going to try to hang out on the blog more this year so if there's anything in particular you would like to see more of please let me know.  Weddings, engagements, babies, portraits, advice, camera tips, etc.  You name it and I'll discuss it.  Just send me an email  - isabelleselby (at) gmail (dot) com

To start things off I'm going to start featuring a favorite photo every Friday from this point on.  Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

Erica + Trevor // Glasserie, Brooklyn

I had the honor of shooting the first wedding at Glasserie last year with the sweetest couple, Erica and Trevor, and let me tell you that these are two things that go wonderfully together.  An industrial chic style restaurant with amazing food in Greenpoint and two people that I feel so lucky to have met.  I could go on and on about the two, but I'll spare you.  Let's just say that they included their cat in their engagement shoot and that's all I need.

I'm happy to share a few images from their beautiful day and I hope you enjoy.  Congratulations E+T!

Updates!

It's been almost a year since I've been on this much neglected blog, but that doesn't mean that tons of exciting things haven't been happening here.  I've been traveling all over the place, shooting gorgeous weddings that I must share and overall have a lot to catch you up on.  I think this is just as good at time as any to begin.

First, I'm thrilled to say I've had some work recently featured on Style Me Pretty, Brooklyn Bride, Charm City Wed,  and Rusting Wedding Chic.  Check them out below:

Sara + Tim's Brooklyn Winery Wedding

Leah + Mark's Black Feather Farm Wedding

Maureen + Brandon's Alder Manor Wedding

Brigid + Nick's Baltimore Peabody Library Wedding

Cheysa + Justin's New Leaf Wedding

Kathryn + Andy's Green Building Wedding

Erica + Trevor's Queens Engagement (with a cute cat!)

OK, I think we're caught up on that.  If you're still with me after that long list I'm happy to share some more big news.

Isabelle Selby Photography is expanding!

That's right!  There now will be no (zero! zip!) travel fee for New York City, Nashville TN, Charleston SC and Lexington KY.  Tell your friends!  Tell your family!  I'm happy to offer my services to these new places and if you know anyone getting hitched please send them my way.  I'd love to chat!

That's it for now, but stay tuned as I plan to keep a better handle on this blog.  I say that every year so hopefully it sticks.  I hope to see you again soon and, as always, feel free to keep up with my on my Facebook page.

Scenes from Anguilla

At the end of last year when snow was falling all around us I was fortunate enough to visit the tropical island of Anguilla to photograph an amazing wedding with some of the sweetest people I've met.  I usually like to share more images and type less since that is where I excel, but I wanted to take a moment to thank the wonderful clients (really, friends) that I've met along this journey.  You truly make my job incredible and I feel so fortunate to be able to capture the special moments of your weddings wherever they might be.  Cheers to an excellent 2014!  I do realize we're already in April...

The full wedding will be posted soon in all it's beauty, but for now here's a little preview of that gorgeous little island.

Location: Cuisinart Resort, Anguilla

Engagement // Kelly + Guy

When I first met Kelly she mentioned bringing her dog, Henry, along for engagement photos and I jumped at the chance.  I'm a huge fan of pets in photos (cats, dogs, you name it!) because it brings a whole new level of emotion to the photos.  Henry was a very enthusiastic model and complimented his glamorous owners perfectly! It was such a treat to photograph this sweet trio.  Congratulations Kelly + Guy!
